Please join us for our April 17th  meeting and support groups featuring MN author Mary Knutson.
My Journey with My Lesbian Daughter
A memoir about family, faith, acceptance and unconditional love
“Mom, I think I’m gay.”
When Maja comes out to her mom, Mary tells her daughter she loves her and will support her. But Mary soon discovers that protecting Maja from pain and rejection will not always be possible.
Mary faces conflict within her own family, among her friends, and in her church. She relies on her faith and her belief in justice as she confronts prejudice, seeks to deepen her knowledge, and becomes an advocate for more love and inclusion in the Lutheran Church, the state of Minnesota, and the wider world.

Mary Rose Knutson lives in Minneapolis with her husband, Paul, in a 1912 home adorned with her many handiwork creations. Therapy for Mary is knitting Norwegian-design hats, mittens, and sweaters. She is also a teacher-first in the classroom, then as a mom and grandmother. She loves to sing; for her, music has pointed the way to inspiration and understanding. Discovering her love of writing has resulted in her first book.
